As a Certified Navigator, GMHCDC:

  • Expedites energy assistance to continue or restore utility services for customers who are medically vulnerable

  • Coordinates with DHCD for energy efficiency programs and heating/cooling system repair/replacement programs.

We partner with Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service who assists us to:

Provide education on:

  • The Homeowner’s Assistance Fund

  • Water4All Discount

Provide access to free legal assistance in:

  • Deed Preparation

  • Titles

  • Expungement of criminal records  

Office of People’s Counsel

Greater Mount Holly Community Development Corporation partners with the Office of People’s Counsel to

Educate the community on:

  • Retail Gas and Electric Retail Suppliers selection;

  • Consumer protections,

  • The Maryland Public Service Commission.

    Coordinate all Eligible Households’ Participation in:

  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP);

  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Lifeline Program;

  • Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Home Energy Programs (OHEP);

  • Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) Maryland Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP);
