DPW Survey - The Office of Equity and Environmental Justice within the Department of Public Works is currently disseminating the Environmental Resource Access Survey; we hope that these questions will serve as a tool to explain what Baltimore residents experience across the city, and demonstrate whether existing resources are accessible and widely known. This will help us establish how to improve access to programs, education, and resources, and shed light on what services are missing. We want to know what is working well for all residents, and how, together, we can make improvements! Please follow the link below to the survey

1/16/23 UPDATES
Last month, several Baltimore City Councilmembers requested a Short Term Crime Plan from the BPD to address ongoing crime in our city.
In response to the Councilmembers, the Short Term Deployment Strategy has been listed (HERE) that outlines our plans to best optimize our resources in combating violent crime in our city.
There are broad plans but they also incorporate special initiatives that direct our resources more effectively to address short-term trends without shifting our focus on longer-term issues.
The short-term deployment contains the following focus areas:
(1) Enhanced visibility patrols, foot patrols and business checks in high crime areas across the City
(2) Expanded warrant apprehension efforts that target repeat violent offenders
(3) Strong participation from federal and state partners on enforcement and investigative efforts
.
